A series of everyday objects, including some iconic design pieces, for articles written by Avşar Gürpınar, a member of the Ambiguous Standards Institute (Muğlak Standartlar Enstitüsü) for XXI magazine.
At the time, I was also part of the Ambiguous Standards Institute, a design collective dedicated to researching, archiving, and playfully challenging the ambiguous standards that shape everyday life.
This project was a mix of visual documentation and quiet observation, an attempt to draw attention to the unnoticed details and coded design choices that surround us.
The articles were published in the February, March, and April 2019 issues of XXI magazine.
